Following the loss of Natasha's mum to the appalling Alzheimer's Disease, this is where members and guests who wish to can make a donation to the Alzheimers Society to help with their continuing support of sufferers and in research so hopefully one day soon this disease may be finally eradicated. The link is... http://www.justgiving.com/alzheimerssoc/Donate

I have been on this justgiving site and made a donation from myself and family ..... well Layla did it actually so no, my name could not be googled and led back to here as googling own name brings up zippy 1 duh ..which then leads straight here !! So to avoid any potential embarrasment to Nat , felt it best done by Lay ........ money transferred to her bank account , and says " With love and in remembrance of all who have suffered this disease". SO its possible to do discreetly .
Do you know , The government does NOT pay anything to research on any form of dementia ??? As an aside, whilst on hols 1 of the folk sharing our evening dinner table has dementia ......... poor lady is 80yrs , tho looked late 60s/early 70s..... it was the body language that alerted N & I , her husband was 76yrs and looked older ....... the other couple in mid 70s T was 75yrs on cruise, hed told his wife not to have balloons etc but she asked me to arrange for her ............... he was delighted in fact !!! But then his wife,V had said "Ach you could get away with anything with him as you both have a zappy sense of humour !" BUT C had to take D ,his wife out before the waiters came to to do the Happy Birthday singing ........................... so very sad . Tho "TOP SECRET" for T , N and I decided we needed to tell C what was going to happen, so he could decide if D would cope . He said No she couldnt , but before the dementia , C said "She would have been 1st up singing Happy Birthday and was a bubbly personality "Much like you are *zippy* , you remind me so much of the lady I married......... its a terrible disease ".
I share this , as was only 2 days before Mikey texted me the sad news.................. none of us knows what lies ahead and Layla summed it up "Gran was so different to you in she was quiet but had a great sense of fun and humour, seeing her deteriorate into the abys of dementia is something Il never forget , P told me what Gran was like , how she would chastise you ... youd laugh and carry on ..... we lost her before she died ...........when will a GOVERMENT wake up to what is needed Mum ?" My answer "I dont know pet , but if you young folk start shouting also, and dont leave just to my generation .......... just maybe justice will prevail .....its going to be a long battle tho!"
SO if on line we can , on this forum (with Nats blessing ) FIGHT this sham of ignorance/denial ............. come folks , if no spare cash , mail your MPs, target your doctors surgerys stating its in THEIR interests financially to fight this deception going on .
IF your still working in NHS ........... dont sit back afraid of pensions loss etc .......do nothing illegal , but YOU are in a position to feed info to others like myself without fear of whistle blowing ................... any info fed me will be kept confidential ... and no trace back to source .... REMEMBER ............... it could be YOU in a few years time !!! (sorry but my own opinion is your fence sitting ... I ALWAYS stood up for beliefs, and I was promoted to a number 7 , even tho challenged powers that be! ..so no respect here for fence sitters from me! and I DONT care what you think of me .... your concience, not mine ! I abhore folk who wont stand and be counted --zilch respect!! )
If anyone had said Id be a cripple by 38yrs etc , and with my alcoholic time of drinking ,Id not turn to drink when told my prognosis Id have said "Your kidding ... brain numb self !" BUT no I didnt/havent .................... why ? because Iv still "work to do"! xxxxxx
DEMENTIA is nothing to be ashamed off ......... just remember that ! Sorry if have gone on , but feel passionately , having sat 10 evenings with a dementi sufferer and devoted husband, plus own experience when working and seen my Mum, read about Nats (and yes talked at events together ) .............. dont let us let down our own . If No cash in this god forsaken time in country ..we DO still have right of free speech !

For those unable to attend for real time CP over the holiday period , I will make myself free for phone Discipline from the 23rd 24th Dec ..exclude xmas day and boxing day (due to family commitments and a sick family member .....) ... all I ask for this is you donate to this charity . My mother had it , The Generals mum did and it affects so many families ...
I wont be avaible till Jan 2nd for real time sessions, due to family around , but excluding new years eve night .... times can be arranged . Rest assurred my tongue can lash your naughty deeds as well as my canes ! You may even get a on line safe, thro here , detention project . BUT I will check "just giving " for your name and donation !!!
So full fill and admit your bad thoughts and deeds and surender to my mercy (or NOT!) and pay towards a charity that needs donations... You PAY before I commence admonishmments and depending on what you pay direct , deems how much phone time I give you ! You Play /Pay fair , and I so will I ........... PM me for details and phone number .
Regards, Mistress Ice . PS this is for the holiday time only . We can make a difference by supporting a charity like this ..could be any one of us at some time.... or a loved one and I know the heartbreak of this illness ............ NO monies will come to me for this service, hence why ask you to use "Just Giving" and lik Mkey has given.

I hope you won't be too offended if I mention another charity, also dealing with dementia, which goes by the name of "for Dementia". This charity trains and pays for Admiral Nurses, specialist nurses in the Community for dementia sufferers and their loved ones. Their work is on a par with the Macmillan Nurses' sterling work with cancer sufferers. But as si iften is the case with these things, it's a Cinderella organisation with little coverage. They're asking people to organise coffee mornings on February 10th, and if I can generate enough interest I'd be happy to pitch in with someone. As some of you know, I lost my father to Parkinson's related dementia at the age of sixty, and my mother suffers with Altzheimer's Disease. This is something we tend to sweep under the carpet as often the reality is too horrible to contemplate. So it's important to keep talking about it. The For Dementia link is http://www.fordementia.org.uk/get-involved/events/time-for-a-cuppaI'll understand if Natasha wants to take the link down, but I don't think they're mutually exclusive.

Many thanks to all who donated. I am currently waiting for mums affairs to be sorted out..probate office having cancelled the first appt due to bad weather...next one not til the 18th Jan...then shall make donation from funds. Wouldnt it be nice if the Government donated the inheritance tax to the same cause ? Ive emailed Downing Street to ask them ...
